MisterApe

O título Gears of War, desenvolvido pela Epic Games para o console Xbox 360 e que já vendeu mais de 3 milhões de cópias ao redor do planeta, foi indicado em dez das trinta categorias do Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, evento da indústria dos games, equivalente ao Oscar, promovido pela Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS).

Dentre as dez categorias nas quais o jogo foi indicado estão "Game of the Year", "Console Game of the Year" e "Action/Adventure Game of the Year". Além de Gears of War, merecem destaque os títulos The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Bethesda Softworks) e The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo), ambos com seis indicações, incluindo "Game of the Year". Também disputam o prêmio os games Wii Sports e Guitar Hero 2.

Os vencedores serão anunciados no dia 8 de fevereiro em Las Vegas, junto com a edição de 2007 da conferência D.I.C.E. Summit.
